Kenichi Hoshine

Japanese born Kenichi Hoshine is a masterful painter now based in New York City. His work borders figurative and abstract work, bubbles of dark pastel colours which are seemingly abstract, until closer inspection reveal figures, flowers, teapots and more.

His explosive paintings are predominantly painted with acrylics with sketch like textures and overlays. Each piece coalesced spontaneously containing elements of Hoshine’s daily life, expressed in surreal movements and anomalous detail.
